 How to retrieve a forgotten username and password
We can send your username and password to the email address you supplied when you registered with us. For your own security we cannot send usernames and passwords to any other email address. To retrieve your password use the forgotten password page.
Changing your username or password
You cannot change your username (the name you use to log in). But don't worry because you can change your screen name (the name other members see). To do that see our help page on profiles.
To change your password:
- log in
- click "My options" on the main menu
- click "Change password"
- follow the on-screen instructions
How to change your registered postcode
To change your postcode, do this:
- log in
- click "My options" on the main menu
- change your postcode
- click the "Update" button
How to change your registered country
All members are registered in just one country. This helps to ensure that you see people who are local to you.
To change the country you are registered in:
- log in
- click "My options" on the main menu
- click "Change country"
- follow the on-screen instructions
How to change your registered email address
To change your email address use the email change page. Once you have changed your
email address you may be asked to re-confirm it using the link we will send you by email. For more information about email address confirmation please see the help topics below.
How to change your screen name
Your screen name is your BlueDating identity, so you only change it if absolutely necessary.
Your screen name must be unique so as to identify you and you alone among our members.
As your screen name is part of your unique URL (web address) it can only contain letters, numbers, the underscore
character (_) and the dash character (-).
Please note: your screen name is not the same as your username. Your username is the name you use to log in so
it can't be changed. Your screen name is the name everybody else sees.
To change your screen name:
- log in
- click "My options" on the main menu
- click "Change screen name"
- follow the on-screen instructions
